GWEN

Imogen Fashion Royalty doll

Gwen was one of very few Fashion Royalty dolls in my collection.

She is "Mission Control" Imogen from the 2011 Integrity Convention. I bought her nude in 2013.

I liked her face, hair and additional hands. I couldn't stand her too long legs though. She wasn't able to sit 'proportionally'. I understand that she is more fashion (than 'action') doll and she was designed to present outfits standing. But I would like to pose her in more ways. Poppy Parker dolls are much better for this purpose (and they have ankle joints).

I don't have her in my collection anymore.

  1. She is really pretty and you did a great job of dressing and posing her. The IT dolls are very tall indeed and would definitely tower over your Momokos!

    1. Phyllis, thank you. Tower is the right word for these tall dolls :-)

  2. Ah she is a beauty. I love how you style her too. Did you hear apparently IT released some dolls with decal eyes? I read they slid off if water touched them. At the recent convention fans were told IT would discontinue using decal eyes. Not sure when they started with that! Hopefully none of my girls have them!

    1. AlasseCarnesir, thanks. Decal eyes - that sounds bad. I didn't know about it. I would be really angry if I bought an IT doll which is rather expensive and her eyes would slid off. I have only one Poppy Parker doll at the moment and I hope that her eyes are not decal.

    2. I've read that you can tell if you take a extreme close up on the eyes. Decal eyes appear in the photo with tiny dots. Terri Gold wrote a post about it here: http://terrigoldphoto.blogspot.com.au/2016/07/decals-for-eyes-big-fix.html If you click on the photo to enlarge, you'll see what I mean.

    1. Lydia Louise, thank you. Why do you attach a link to your blog (other people don't do it)?
