the wall

There was a little sneak peek of the wall in the latest flower post. Today I will show you much more.

My first idea was to make it brick-colored. I painted the blank wall in a few hues of reddish brown and orange but I wasn't satisfied. Bricks were too different. I needed something softer.

The wall is big enough to be a background for 16 inches dolls too.

Then I painted it in dark brown...

.. and added some grey lines.

But it was too dark. So I used light cool grey paint. And it was a good choice.

The wall is light grey now and I like it. It looks great with grass.
Although I'm going to make another brick-colored wall, a little more toned this time.

Oh, there are some 'behind the scenes' photos on my Pinterest.

  1. Your wall looks great in all iterations of it! I especially loved your photos of the Momoko dolls especially the girl with the brown curly hair in the 2nd photo. All of the dolls are lovely though.

    1. Thank you so much. This curly hair Momoko in the second picture is Girl's End. I restyled her hair a little.

  4. hi, you got very good photography. Do you use high end / expensive camera and lighting? I always find difficulties in taking the doll picture, got some problem with their eyes'reflection because of the light. I will appreciate if you can share some tips ^^ thanks so much
